I'm a philosopher working in epistemology, moral psychology, and applied ethics. Much of my work focuses on parallels between the epistemic and the practical. For example, we blame people for their actions-- how should we understand what we're doing when we blame people for their beliefs?

I teach a variety of courses in the Philosophy & Religious Studies Department at the University of Wyoming, with a special emphasis on applied ethics, including bioethics. I recently developed a course on the Philosophy of Mental Health, which blends philosophy and psychology to understand models for mental health and disorder, as well as mental health stigma.

I also work in the Wyoming WWAMI Medical Education Program as the Block Lead for Themes in Medicine. WWAMI is a med school collaboration between the University of Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana & Idaho. I oversee and teach in the ethics curriculum for our Wyoming first and second-year med students. It's the ultimate inter-disciplinary adventure! You can also visit my page at the UW Department of Bioethics & Humanities.
